1. Make the best use of your space by planning. Store items that are more likely to be used in the front. Leave space on either side for walking.
2. Make a list with serial numbers. If possible, include photos.
3. Install a protective sheet on the floor before storing any goods. Protect against moisture by using a sheet. Concrete floors are susceptible to becoming cold or moist.
4. Paint thinner, gasoline and other explosives such as solvents, paint, paint thinner etc. should not be stored.
5. Use identically sized boxes for easy storage. Avoid overfilling strong boxes.
6. All sides of each box, write down the name of the item.
7. As a safety measure, arrange lighter boxes on top heavier boxes.
8. Store them on top of other items. Store them on top. The box must have compartments that protect breakable objects.
9. Picture frames and other similar items can be wrapped in bubble-wrap or cardboard. They should always be stacked in an upright position.
10. Store small, breakable objects in drawers. Also, wrap the items in tablecloths or towels for safety.

12. In empty cans, you can store tools with long handles.
13. Furniture that has removable legs must be disassembled in order to save on space. Put screws and any other small pieces into a separate zip-up pocket and tape them with the furniture.
14. Couches may be stored in a corner to save on space. It is important to cover them properly in order to avoid damage.
15. To prevent dust from accumulating on upholstered furniture, cover them with blankets, cardboards and/or plastic.
16. To prevent mattresses from losing shape, store them upright. Use a mattress bag made of plastic to keep dust off.
17. Use your personal locks and keys to secure the storage unit.
18. Do not store food in your storage. Store food items away from your storage unit. They may attract insects or rodents. Always check your unit to make sure it is safe and maintained.
19. Cover TVs and other electronic devices with paper or a blanket to keep them dust-free. You can put them on tables.
20. Tie up the curtain poles together, then place under the couch.
